Manusia mempunyai banyak kemampuan yang dapat digunakan untuk mendapatkan apa yang diinginkan terutama untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya yang berupa sandang, pangan dan papan selain dari itu dengan kemampuannya manusia juga bisa menjaga eksistensinya di dalam lingkungan dimana mereka berada.

Tapi dalam kenyataanya tidak sedikit manusia yang lupa bahwa dirinya bisa menjadi apa yang mereka inginkan, mereka selalu berfokus pada kelemahan-kelemahan mereka dan mengkambinghitamkan keadaan. Contoh: pendidikan saya rendah, saya tidak pintar, saya tidak ganteng, saya tidak cantik, saya berasal dari keluarga yang tak mampu dan segala macam alasan yang akan menjadikan Ia jadi kuper dan tak pernah menjadi super (seperti yang dikatakan oleh Mario Teguh).

Di dalam suatu lingkungan baik keluarga, masyarakat dan pekerjaan, kita akan dihadapkan pada berbagai macam watak orang, ada yang biasa-biasa saja, ada yang agresif, asertif, dan sifat lainnya, yang masing-masing akan mempengaruhi tindakan mereka. Dan tentunya orang yang aserif akan lebih menonjol dan dihormati orang, beda halnya dengan orang yang agresip, walaupun menonjol tapi belum tentu dihormati, lalu bagaimana kita bisa keluar dari keadaan kuper dan menjadi super terutama di tempat dan ruang yang ada persaingannya, yaitu tempat kerja.

Pada dasarnya semua manusia sama. Manusia diciptakan dengan bentuk yang sama, kecerdasan yang sama, diberikan waktu yang sama yaitu 24 jam, hanya saja manusia berbeda-beda cara memanfaatkannya, oleh karena itu galilah kekuatan-kekuatan yang ada pada diri Anda, Tuhan menciptkan manusia dengan kelebihan dan kekurangannya.

kelemahan apapun, maka yakinlah bahwa sebenarnya Ia BUKAN manusia. Sebenarnya mengetahui kekurangan dalam diri kita bukanlah hal yang buruk, bahkan akan menjadi poin positif bila kita memanfaatkan informasi tersebut sebagai motivasi untuk membangun kekuatan. Lalu, bagaimana caranya mengubah kekurangan menjadi kekuatan? Apabila Anda telah mengetahui kekurangan Anda, Maka sekarang saatnya Anda mengubah kekurangan tersebut menjadi kekuatan bagi diri Anda. Bila Anda merasa tidak memiliki keahlian dalam berbahasa Inggris tidak ada salahnya bila Anda mengikuti kursus bahsa Inggris. Ubah yang dulunya tidak bisa menjadi bisa.

Tingkatkan pengetahuan. Pepatah mengatakan pengetahuan adalah jendela dunia, BENAR, karena dengan pengetahuan kita bisa mengetahui segala sesuatu apa yang sedang terjadi bahkan yang telah terjadi, apabila kita berada di tempat kerja kita dituntut untuk menambah keterampilan kita sehingga kita lebih bisa diandalkan oleh rekan kerja atau atasan.

Saya seorang junior. Saya muda kurang pengalaman, kurang ilmu dan belum terlatih, apabila itu terjadi pada Anda, kerjakan apa yang bisa Anda kerjakan. Gunakanlah kesempatan ini untuk lebih dekat kepada senior Anda, mintalah mereka menilai dan mengkritik atau memberi saran atas pekerjaan Anda. Sehingga lama-kelamaan Anda bisa tahu bagaimana mereka mengerjakan pekerjaan mereka, hal ini berlaku apabila Anda sebagai pemula di tempat kerja.

Terbukalah kepada setiap perubahan. Perubahan pasti akan selalu terjadi dimanapun kita berada, apalagi di dunia kerja yang dituntut untuk dinamis dalam berbagai kondisi. Terimalah keritik untuk membangun diri karena tanpa keritik kita tidak tahu kekurangan kita dimana.
